Yield: about 1 ½ cups
Ingredients
- ½ cup ketchup
- ½ cup water
- 2 Tbsp tomato paste
- 1 Tbsp white vinegar
- 1 Tbsp lemon Juice
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce OR 1½ tsp tamarind paste
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- ½ Tbsp molasses
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp dry mustard
- ¼ tsp liquid smoke
- ¼ tsp salt
- black pepper, generous sprinkle
Instructions
- In a small sauce pan, mix together all the ingredients then bring the mixture to boil. Turn down heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Let cool and store in air tight container in refrigerator for up to 10 days or freeze.
