Taco Seasoning

Making your own taco seasoning is flavorful, easy and convenient while allowing you to control the sodium.

Yield: about ¾ cup


  • 6 Tbsp minced dried onion
  • 4 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp oregano


  1. Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container.
  2. Use 1½ tablespoons Taco Seasoning along with ½ cup water to every 454 grams/one pound veggie meat. Mix well and simmer.
  3. Make taco meat with Better Burger or for a gluten free version use Cauliflower Crumbles.
