Lasagna Cheese

This simple cheese is blended then poured into the lasagna and it thickens as while lasagna bakes.


  • 1 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp rolled oats
  • 2 Tbsp arrowroot powder
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup nutritional yeast
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder 
  • 2-3 Tbsp tahini
  • ½ tsp salt


  1. Put everything in a blender, blend until smooth and set aside.
  2. Use in lasagna recipe as a cheese substitute. When ready to assemble the layers, drizzle about one third of the cheese sauce on the bottom layer, middle layer and top layer. 
  3. The cheese sauce will thicken while it bakes.
